A digital control system (shown here mounted on the wall between the legs of the sculpture) raised and lowered the individual parts of the figure using a series of cables strung from the ceiling.

Written on the wall above the control system:
"Sub atomic particles combine to form atoms. Atoms combine to form molecules. A molecule is 99.9% space. The other .1% is the atoms themselves."
